Rescuers use drones to save fawns from farm machinery in Germany

An animal rescue organisation in Germany is using drones to locate and rescue fawns (baby deer) from fields before farmers begin mowing. The animals are often born during mowing season, leading to around 100,000 fawn deaths every year. Rescuers also use acoustic and optical signals to keep the young deer away from fields and protect them from farm machinery.
