Researchers design suit to help penguins recover from fishing net wounds

Chilean researchers have designed a therapeutic suit made from copper and zinc to help speed recovery of penguins after surgery for wounds caused by fishing nets. The suits contain microscopic particles that help prevent the growth of bacteria during recovery. Researchers added that the zinc encourages formation of new blood vessels, which helps the penguins' damaged tissue heal faster.
