Researchers develop technique that turns walls, desks into touchscreen

Researchers from Japan's Tohoku University have developed a technique that turns everyday surfaces like walls and desks into touch panels, making typing more comfortable using AR/MR technology. The innovation relies on a natural reaction when pressure is applied to the fingertips, causing a white flush. By analysing headset camera images with an AI model, the system can detect fingertip contact.
