Respect citizens' choice, change laws: SC to govt on terminating pregnancy of rape survivors

Supreme Court declined to entertain a curative plea filed by AIIMS against an earlier order to terminate the 31-week pregnancy of a 15-year-old child who had been raped. It said, "Doctors cannot decide for patients…we respect individual choices and so should the state."
