Restaurant sealed in Gujarat after girl dies of food poisoning, spoilt daal found in raid

The Gujarat Health Department has shut down Sheetal Restaurant in Surat after suspected food poisoning led to the death of a girl and left three others hospitalised. The department found spoilt daal, degraded vegetables and uncovered paneer in a raid at the restaurant and destroyed everything. Appropriate action will be taken against the owner, Food Safety Officer Sejal Vyas said.
