Restaurants, malls & discos to be shut by 9 pm in Egypt amid energy crisis due to war

Amid an energy crisis sparked by the Middle East war, Egypt has ordered restaurants, cafes, bazaars, and night entertainment venues, including discotheques, to shut by 9 pm. "The decision excludes Thursdays, Fridays, public holidays, and official occasions determined by a decision by the prime minister, during which closing time will be extended to 10:00 pm," a press release said.
