Restaurants in Guwahati to remain open till 3:30 am for FIFA WC semi-final, final

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has authorised the Guwahati district administration to allow restaurants to remain open till 3:30 am for the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-final, final and third-place matches. The relaxation will be in effect on July 15, 16, 19 and 20. He added that district administrations across Assam have also been authorised to permit similar extensions.
