Silver jewellery, tomatoes push retail inflation higher for third time in a row
Retail inflation in India jumped for the third time as it rose to 3.93% in May, up from 3.21% in February. The top drivers of retail inflation's rise include silver jewellery (155.23%), tomatoes (48.43%), gold/platinum/diamond jewellery (40.93%), ginger (32.49%) and raisin (kishmish) (21.97%). The commodities that saw inflation dip the most include potatoes (-23.71%) and peas (-11.47%).
