Retail sales continue to surpass pre-COVID levels, up 18% in July: RAI

Retail businesses across India registered an 18% growth in July sales as against the corresponding period in 2019, the Retailers Association of India (RAI) said on Wednesday. The growth is above the pre-pandemic levels. With 25%, the east India region saw the highest year-on-year growth, followed by the south at 21%, north at 16% and west at 10%, RAI said.
