Retired IAS officer Arun Goel appointed Election Commissioner

Retired bureaucrat Arun Goel was on Saturday appointed Election Commissioner in the Election Commission of India (ECI), the Law and Justice Ministry said. The 1985 batch ex-IAS officer was appointed to the post of the third Election Commissioner. The post was vacant after the then-Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar took the charge as the Chief Election Commissioner in May this year.
