German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who will leave politics following the end of her term in 2021, has announced that she is closing her Facebook account as she's no longer the head of the CDU party. In a video message, Merkel thanked her 2.5 million followers and invited them to continue following the government's official Facebook page and her Instagram account.
