Richtech Robotics bets on single-use robots to ease labor gaps

Richtech Robotics COO Phil Zheng said the company is focusing on single-use robots designed to ease real-world labor shortages rather than full automation. Speaking at CES 2026, he said its new robot, Dex, blends hardware and AI to handle repetitive tasks, freeing workers for higher-value roles. Richtech has also shifted from one-time hardware sales to a subscription-based model.
