The Ministry of Labour and Employment said the new Labour Codes "do not weaken trade union rights". "The right to strike remains intact, with a 14-day notice period to prevent flash strikes, reduce disruption and enable conciliation between workers and management," it added. It further stated that the Codes enhance a harmonious relationship between workers and management.
