Activists from Myanmar have criticised Rihanna for wearing a Burmese ruby ring worth $1 million (around ₹8.3 crore) during her recent Super Bowl performance. The activists demanded a call for a ban on Burmese gems, saying they are a source of revenue for the military junta administration in Myanmar. Rihanna's ring had featured a 19.47-carat sugarloaf cabochon Burma ruby.
