Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries (RIL), Mahindra & Mahindra and Hyundai Global Motors are reportedly among companies that have submitted bids under India's $2.4 billion battery scheme. Ola Electric, Larsen & Toubro and Exide have also submitted bids, Reuters reported citing sources. Indian government launched this incentive program last year to boost local manufacturing of batteries.
