Ring road built through forests without permission in Manipur, named after militants

A 'ring road', built through forests in six districts without permission of state government, has been found in Manipur. The road is locally referred to as 'German Road' and at certain stretches as 'Tiger Road'. Notably, 'German' and 'Tiger' are nicknames of Kuki insurgents. National Green Tribunal (NGT) has ordered state government to ensure no more construction work is done.
