Riot in Ecuador's largest prison leaves 58 inmates dead

At least 58 inmates were killed and 12 others were injured in the latest riot at Ecuador's largest prison, the government said on Saturday. Residents living near the prison in Guayaquil city reported hearing hours of sustained gunfire and explosions coming from inside the facility. A riot in the same prison in September had left 119 inmates dead.
