Ripple becomes world's second largest cryptocurrency

Bitcoin's rival cryptocurrency Ripple has surpassed Ethereum as the world's second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation. The price of Ripple rose to as much as $2.84 on Saturday, climbing more than 90% in 24 hours. The market capitalisation of Ripple reached more than $110 billion and the cryptocurrency has surged over 47,200% year-to-date.
