National 200m backstroke record holder Rishabh Das qualifies for 100m backstroke final at Asian Games

Indian swimmer Rishabh Das, national record holder in the 200m backstroke, qualified for final in men’s 100m backstroke heats at Asian Games 2026 on Sunday. The 19-year-old clocked 54.85 seconds, finishing third in Heat 3 and fifth overall. The other Indian in the fray, Utkarsh Patil, finished 12th overall with a time of 56.19 seconds and missed out on qualification.
