Team India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has set the record for smashing the fastest fifty by an Indian in Test cricket history, achieving the feat off 28 deliveries against Sri Lanka in the Day-Night Test in Bengaluru. The previous record was held by former India captain Kapil Dev, who had taken 30 balls to score a fifty against Pakistan in 1982.
