Rising exports lead to rose shortage in Mumbai on Valentine's Day
Wholesalers and retailers in Mumbai saw tight supplies of red roses on Valentine's Day on Saturday, largely due to a rise in exports from Pune's Talegaon region, NDTV India reported. A significant portion of premium-quality roses was diverted to international buyers ahead of Valentine's week, traders said. Data shows rose exports grew by about 8% between January and November 2025.
