Rising food demand in country requires production boost: China

China on Monday said that it needs to increase efforts to boost grain production to meet its rising food demand. "More than 1.4 billion of us want to eat, and we want to eat better," Han Wenxiu, a director from China's Central Rural Work Leading Group, told a news conference. "The government intends to strengthen grain production," he further said.
