Rising temperatures are slowing early childhood development: Study

Climate change, including extreme heat and frequent heat waves may slow key aspects of early childhood development. Published in Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, the study reports that kids who experienced average maximum temperatures above 30°C were less likely to reach key learning milestones, especially in reading and basic math skills, compared to kids living in cooler environments.
