RJD candidate Sanjeev Kumar won the Patna Teachers' seat in the MLC polls, defeating BJP candidate Nawal Kishor Yadav by 1,057 votes. The victory ends Yadav's three-decade-long electoral dominance, during which he won the seat five consecutive times. Kumar received 4,487 votes, while Yadav secured 3,430. Divya Jyoti of the Jan Suraaj Party finished third.
