Roberta Metsola becomes the youngest EU Parliament President at 43

Malta's Roberta Metsola has been appointed the President of the 705-seat European Union Parliament on Tuesday. Metsola is the youngest to assume the top post at age of 43 and the first woman in 20 years to do so. "I feel honoured by the responsibility with which you are entrusting me," said Metsola during the parliamentary meeting in France's Strasbourg.
