Robot understands request to cry, sheds tears while talking

A bionic emotion-sensing robot developed by China's Yanxi Technology shed tear-like fluid on command while speaking at Shanghai's 2026 Inclusion Conference on the Bund. "Can you shed tears for me?" a visitor asked. "Of course," it replied before crying. The Yansyn-X2 uses facial tracking, voice analysis and a microfluidic tear system to produce human-like emotional responses during conversations.
