Rock launched from Earth likely returned as meteorite: Scientists

Researchers suspect that a reddish-brown rock found in Morocco's Sahara desert in 2018 may have been ejected into space around 10,000 years ago due to an asteroid collision with Earth. It eventually crashed back into the planet as a meteorite, they believe. Researchers found a glossy "fusion crust" on it, usually formed during reentry, indicating it is a meteorite.
