Rockstar parent Take-Two lays off AI head, several team members

Rockstar parent company Take-Two Interactive laid off AI head Luke Dicken along with an unspecified portion of its AI team. Dicken confirmed news of his layoff on LinkedIn. This comes weeks after Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said the company is "actively embracing generative AI" despite earlier stating that AI would never be able to create "big hits" like GTA VI.
