Rodri becomes 1st Premier League player to win WC Golden Ball

Spain captain Rodri became the first Premier League player to win the FIFA World Cup Golden Ball after Spain beat defending champions Argentina in the 2026 final. The 30-year-old Manchester City defensive midfielder also became only the 11th men's footballer to win the FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League and Ballon d'Or. The Golden Ball honours the tournament's best player.
