Roger Allers, co-director of 1994 film 'Lion King', dies at 76
Roger Allers, co-director of Disney's 1994 animated film 'The Lion King', has died at age 76, confirmed film producer Dave Bossert on Facebook. "Roger had a joyful, luminous spirit, and the world is dimmer without him. Rest in peace, my friend," wrote Bossert. Allers began career with Disney on the storyboard production team for the film 'Tron' in the 1980s.
