Rohit becomes fastest ODI opener to score 9000 runs, breaks Tendulkar's record

Rohit Sharma became the fastest ODI opener to reach 9,000 runs during Champions Trophy 2025 match against Pakistan on Sunday, achieving the feat in only his 181st innings in the position. With this, he broke the record of Sachin Tendulkar, who had made 9,000 in 197 innings as opener. Rohit reached the mark with his first run of the match.
