Reacting to becoming the first footballer to score in six FIFA World Cups, Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo said, "God helps those who work hard. I knew my teammates would help out too." He added, "It was a difficult and dark week. It felt I'd retired...But I hung in...as I always do...because I believe in hard work more than anything else."
