Ronaldo's inclusion weakens Portugal, he should retire: John Arne Riise

Ex-Liverpool defender John Arne Riise urged Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo to retire from international football following Portugal's FIFA World Cup 2026 exit. "His inclusion weakens the Portuguese team rather than helping it," he said. "I don't think Ronaldo will be ready for the Euros...He should call it a day internationally and hand over the opportunity to the youngsters," Riise added.
