Ronaldo scores twice as defending champs Real Madrid win 3-0

Champions League holders Real Madrid opened their title defence with a 3-0 win over Cyprus-based APOEL on Wednesday, with Cristiano Ronaldo hitting the back of the net twice. With this, UCL's all-time record goalscorer Ronaldo has increased his tally to 107 goals. Elsewhere, Manchester City also grabbed a win in their opening match of the campaign by beating Feyenoord 4-0.
