Ronaldo willing to pay to avoid prison for tax fraud

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo will pay the money the Spanish Treasury demands if it withdraws its request for him to be given a prison sentence for an alleged tax fraud of €14.7 million. However, Ronaldo is unwilling to admit that he has committed a criminal offence. Ronaldo's former teammate Xabi Alonso is also facing three cases of alleged fraud.
