Rs 1 lakh crore bad corporate loans written off: RBI
Data collected by Reserve Bank of India over a year's period shows that in the last 13 years banks have sacrificed over Rs.1 lakh crore by writing off bad loans to corporates. 95% of the amount are large loans and 50% of the NPAs (Non-Performing assets) is shared by medium and large enterprises segment, said RBI deputy governor KC Chakrabarty.
