RSF urges EU to block AI chatbots accessing Russian media

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has called on the EU to regulate AI chatbots after finding that tools like ChatGPT and Grok bypass EU sanctions by retrieving content from banned Russian outlets like RT and Sputnik. RSF urged the European Commission to investigate ChatGPT under the Digital Services Act. Meta AI was the only chatbot that consistently refused such requests.
