Ruby slippers from 'The Wizard of Oz' sold for ₹237 crore

A pair of ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland in the 1939 film 'The Wizard of Oz' have been sold for $28 million (over ₹237 crore) at an auction conducted by Heritage Auctions. The slippers were stolen from a museum in 2005 before FBI recovered them in 2018. Heritage Auctions had estimated the slippers would fetch $3 million or more.
