Rupa Ganguly, who played Draupadi in 'Mahabharata', wins by 35,782 votes in Bengal

BJP's Rupa Ganguly, who played 'Draupadi' in the 'Mahabharata' TV serial, has won by 35,782 votes in the Sonarpur Dakshin Assembly Constituency in West Bengal. Contesting from BJP, Rupa, a former Rajya Sabha MP, defeated TMC's Arundhuti Maitra (Lovely), who secured 93,188 votes. CPI's Paramita Dasgupta received 16,784 votes. BJP has currently won 146 seats and is leading in 62.
