Rupee breaches 95-mark against US dollar despite RBI's attempts to offset its fall
The Indian rupee crossed the 95-mark against the US dollar as it hit a new low of 95.21 on Monday. The rupee had crossed the 94-mark on March 27 and the 93-mark on March 20. This comes despite RBI imposing a $100-million limit on banks' net open positions on the rupee in the foreign exchange market.
