The Indian rupee closed 0.5% higher at 94.4850 against the US dollar on Thursday, its highest level in 10 weeks. It also posted its biggest daily gain in over a month. Investor sentiment improved after the RBI's special measures attracted $127.23 billion through foreign currency non-resident bank (FCNR(B)) deposits, above economists' expectations.
