Rupee dips 31 paise against US dollar in early trade as oil prices surge
The rupee depreciated by 31 paise to 92.32 against US dollar in early trade on Thursday, slipping from its previous close. The currency has already fallen over 2.6% in 2026 after ending 2025 at 89.87. The decline followed a surge in Brent crude prices, which rose over 8% to $100/barrel amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
