Rupee falls past 92-mark against US dollar, hits new record low amid Middle East war
The Indian rupee tumbled 69 paise to hit a new all-time low of 92.18 against the US dollar in early trade on Wednesday amid a sharp spike in crude oil prices due to the ongoing war in the Middle East. Brent crude rose 1.4%, to $82.57 per barrel after closing at its highest since January 2025 on Tuesday, Reuters reported.
