Rupee falls to all-time low of 84.94 against US dollar

The Indian rupee fell 3 paise to close at an all-time low of 84.94 against the US dollar on Wednesday. This comes ahead of the upcoming interest rate decision of the US Fed, which is expected to cut interest rates by 25 bps. At the interbank foreign exchange, the rupee opened at 84.92 and touched 84.95 during intra-day trade.
