Rupee hits record low of ₹84.66 after Trump’s 100% tariff threat

Indian rupee sharply fell by 17 paise to hit fresh all-time low of 84.66 against US dollar on Monday after US President-elect Donald Trump threatened 100% tariff on BRICS countries if they don't continue using dollar. Trump had demanded a "commitment" from BRICS countries that they will neither create a new currency nor endorse any other currency to replace dollar.
