Rupee opens lower, sees 5th straight day of fall as oil prices jump

The Indian rupee opened 10 paise lower at 94.21 per dollar on Friday amid rising oil prices, extending its losing streak to five sessions. It had closed at 94.11 on Thursday. Importers need to wait to buy dollars at lower levels, Finrex said. The dollar was set for its first weekly gain in three weeks, amid ongoing US-Iran tensions.
