Rupee sinks past 94-mark against US dollar, hits new record low

The Indian rupee fell past the 94-mark against US dollar on Friday, hitting a new record low of 94.1575 per dollar. The currency has weakened by around 3.5% since Middle East war began. This comes as the price of crude oil stays above $100/barrel-mark. Meanwhile, US stock indices Nasdaq and S&P 500 saw their worst one-day drop since January 20.
