Russia, N-Korea have strong ties, shared blood in Ukraine war: Kim

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un spoke about Russia-North Korea ties in New Year greetings to President Vladimir Putin. Kim said, "Relations have been solidified as most genuine alliance, forged by sharing blood and trials of life and death together on a single front." Under 2024 treaty, North Korean troops helped in Russia to repel Ukrainian incursion earlier this year.
