Russia bars US monitors from upcoming presidential poll

Amid speculations that the US would meddle in the Russian presidential election this year, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said that US diplomats and staff will not be allowed to monitor the upcoming polls. The US had also imposed a similar ban on the staff of Russian organisations in the country during the 2016 presidential election.
