Russia builds its first 100% sanctions-proof plane that can carry 211 people

Russia has successfully built MC-21, its first-ever 100% sanctions-proof plane that can carry up to 211 passengers. It flew for one hour and 23 minutes during its first test flight and reached speeds of 600 km/hour at an altitude of 6,000 metres. First launched in 2009, MC-21 was originally slated for mass production in 2016, but sanctions delayed the timeline.
